Navigate the topic of choosing exam subjects with confidence
Service Description
This is a 75-min online webinar with live Q&A. Questions can be submitted before, during and after the session. All participants will be sent the recording (even if you miss the live session). In this workshop you will: - UNDERSTAND: The exam system - including the main changes over the last 15 years. We will look at national data about the number of subjects students pick and the popular subjects. We will explore the difference between combined and triple-Science and explore how choices made now may impact (or not!) options later on. - INVESTIGATE: How to use Post-16 website and UCAS to find out how to make the best choices at this stage. - EXPLORE: Top-tips from teachers, heads and careers advisors about how to navigate this process. We will look at what research suggests is the best way to make these choices. - A Q&A session (you can submit questions in advance or live during the session) If you are not satisfied with the session (I am confident you will be!) - you will get a full refund! FAQ Is this course going to help? I am so confident it will help, I will give a full refund if it doesn't! You will feel more confident and in control as you navigate this process with your child. My child's school has already sent information, wont this just be the same? No. The information the school sends out is really important, but will be 'zoomed-in' on the details. In this course, we 'zoom-out' and look at the exam system as a whole. My child doesn't have many options, so what is the point? It is true that you are limited by the options presented by the school. However, this does not mean that you need to feel completely 'out of control'.
